ACT ONE: THE EMPEROR

"Expect a defeat whenever the Emperor attacks in person. Attack and defeat his lieutenants whenever you can." - General Moreau to Russian Emperor Alexander concerning Emperor Napoleon, July 1813

One question has dominated the history of mankind since the days of Nimrod the great. Oddly enough it is a question that is pertinently intertwined with the gospel principle. As I write, brave patriots in both Kenya and Uganda are in the final stages of planning for the mother of all demonstrations. In Kenya state officers have threatened violence, and repeatedly meted it out disproportionately to unarmed and peaceful demonstrators. On the socials and in mainstream media, a fierce battle for public opinion is playing out. Amidst all this noise, there is the signal: politics as it has been is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. What is now required is a deep sense of clarity to descend upon the consciences of the fearless, leaderless and tribeless crusaders of this noble national pursuit. For that, we will need the Emperor in our battle ranks and here he is in all his splendor and glory.

But what do We mean by the American Revolution? Do We mean the American War? The Revolution was effected before the War commenced. The Revolution was in the Minds and Hearts of the People. A Change in their Religious Sentiments of their Duties and Obligations. - John Adams letter to H. Niles, Feb 13, 1818.

I have always found this quotation strangely worded. What does 'religious sentiments' have to do with the American or any revolution for that matter? Well believe it or not, clarity on this equates to victory without number.

God is ultimate government and supreme authority. All authority is derived from Him. All governments wield delegated power from the Supreme Ruler of the Universe. I understand some of you are not Christian as I am about to bring in Apostle Paul, but this fact cuts across all religions and cultures through the ages.

For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God - Romans 13:1

This simply means that God is the originator of the idea of government, that all governments on earth are mere imperfect copies of God's government of love and justice. This fact was so well understood by the first kings, all post-Nimrod potentates would shy away from referring to themselves as Kings, and retained the title of vice-regent to the Deity who alone was acknowledged as king.

In earliest records in the plain of Shinar, the cradle of the race of the Flood, in every instance the ruler bears not the title of king, but of "viceroy" of the idol god, which is held to be truly king. These records reveal clearly that there had been a time when these same people recognized god as the only King and the only Ruler. - Alonzo Jones, Empires of the Bible pg xvi

What follows is the profound invariable truth that God, not government, is the source of our rights. THEREFORE, our rights preexist any and every government man can form. THEREFORE, our rights rank superior to any and every government man can form. THEREFORE, governments are formed in consequence to our rights for the object of securing them. THEREFORE, whenever any government fails at this, its God-given delegated mandate of securing the rights of individuals, it behooves the Originator of Government Himself to act in defense and security of the rights of the people. I know this hasn't quite yet made sense to some, but it will.

Many times, He has done this work by means of what I have come to term as Lady Freedom, the ultimate personification of the manifold wisdom of God throughout history. God has ordained that men who cannot govern themselves should not govern others.

I'll leave you with the words of John Adams after Congress adopted the declaration of independence.

“We must expect a great expense of blood to obtain it. But we must always remember, that a free constitution of civil government cannot be purchased at too dear a rate as there is nothing on this side of Jerusalem of greater importance to mankind.. I see a new nation, ready to take its place in the world. Not an empire, but a republic, and a republic of laws, not men. Gentlemen, we are in the midst of revolution, the most complete unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of the world. How few of the human race have ever had the opportunity of choosing a system of government for themselves and their children. I am not without apprehensions. But the end we have in sight is more than worth than all the means. My judgement approves this measure, and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, all that I am and all that I hope in this life I am now ready to stake upon it. While I live, let me have a country. A free country." - John Adams' Congressional speech. July 4th 1776
