Truth, said wartime British leader Winston Churchill, is so dangerous, that it is often surrounded by a bodyguard of lies. Nowhere is this more evident to the keen reader of history than in the history of the American Civil war. Just a few years since the birth of America, the enemy of souls raised a new monster to contend with the people of God. Something renown Christian author Ellen White termed, “a new manifestation of Satanic power” (Great Controversy, pg 268.3) A conspiracy to destroy America with it's liberties which was a final product of the great Revolution wrought by God. The many secretive groups in this conspiracy were united under the 'Circle sociale', an illuminist lodge in France. Under this organization, the French Revolution was brought about, and for the first time were revealed the communist intentions of those seeking one world government which is merely the tower of Babel restored. The father of Russian communism, Leon Trotsky, stated in his autobiography that “the Illuminati, who were the forerunners of revolution; on its left, it culminated in the Carbonari” The founding members of the Democratic party were Carbonari. In history, this became the racist pro-slavery party of the American south. But Trotsky never says what the Illuminati culminated to on the right wing of politics. What organization did the illuminati culminate to on the right? Well there were various front groups, coordinated by what was known as the Brotherhood of the Union which was led at any time by three men. This group was responsible for the founding of the anti-slavery Republican party in America. Of special interest is that one of those three top illuminists leading the Brotherhood of the Union was Abraham Lincoln. Only by polarizing the nation and agitating a civil war could the conspiracy at the very least begin the destruction of America, and for this they had to control and coordinate both sides of American politics.

Apostasy, Government Gone Wrong

As history so developed, the man of sin (Roman Papacy) had methodically sought to silence the two witnesses (The old and new testaments) (check Revelation 11:3). To accomplish this, the gospel was hid from men while its principles of self-government were thereby forgotten. As a matter of fact, the people were to be rendered incapable of self-government the result being that Europe fell into dark ages. Not even under Pagan Rome had such a constriction of thought appeared. Under the old Rome, Citizens had property rights, equality before the law and many had rights of enfranchisement. Contrary to this, the great apostasy was accompanied with feudalism and absolute monarchy. Men were merely squatters on the land of nobles, and nobles merely sharecroppers on what effectively was the King’s land. All men were slaves. But a Heavenly protest was soon coming, loudly to proclaim,

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1)

Gospel freedom always has an accompanying effect on temporal freedom. No small wonder why the Protestant nations would become more powerful, prosperous and developed than their Catholic neighbors…because the light of heaven breeds perfection and excellence. "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."(Proverbs 14:34)

Saith the learned John Merle D’Aubigne,

“when pagan Rome fell, she bequeathed to the humble minister of the God of peace, sitting in the midst of her ruins, the proud titles which her invincible sword had won from the nations of the earth.” (History of the Reformation, pg 9.1)

Those titles and privileges intoxicated the Church of Rome. “I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing” (Revelation 3:17) she said…and all that followed was apostasy. A system of government lusting for wealth and power, built on lies and ruthlessly executing a conspiracy for world domination.

Conclusion

Almighty God had had enough and was about to set off His protest. Not only were men’s souls perishing, but by rogue government, the Papacy misrepresented God’s government of love. The Conspiracy must be put to an end.
